The Setting A West Hollywood apartment Plot Summary At the end of a day in West Hollywood, Parker, a young actor, comes home from the market to learn that his lover, Stuart, is leaving him. Parker is stupefied and angry, then amused to learn the cause: while Parker was out of town on a job, his partner had sex with a woman and has now convinced himself he's no longer gay. Author BiographyA native of Connecticut, Chip Keyes has had plays produced in New York City, Hartford, Connecticut and Los Angeles. Most recently, Los Angeles' Geffen Theater produced his children's play "Meanwhile, In Another Part of the Forest: Classic Fairy Tales" in collaboration with Parson's Nose Productions. A graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Mr. Keyes worked for many years as an actor and also as writer-comedian in comedy groups The Portable Circus and Keyes & Lippa, appearing nationwide in concert, on television and at such nightclubs as The Bitter End, The Bottom Line and Improvisation in New York, as well as The Comedy Store and Improv in Los Angeles. Since 1980, Mr. Keyes has worked as writer-producer of such television programs as "Perfect Strangers," "The Hogan Family" and Fox Television's "Shaky Ground," which he created with his brothers Bob and Doug. Mr. Keyes currently resides with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles where he continues writing scripts for television and the theater. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights. |
